Ministers

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was sworn in as President of the Republic of Indonesia for the second period, 2009 - 2014, on October 20, 2009. Joint Vice President Boediono, President Yudhoyono was sworn in Plenary Session of the MPR-RI. A day later, October 21, 2009, President Yudhoyono announced the list of new cabinet members named: "The United Indonesia Cabinet II", consisting of 3 (three) of the Coordinating Minister and a Secretary of State, 20 (twenty), the minister who heads the department, and 10 (ten) ministers of state. Presidential Regulation Number 47 Year 2009 concerning Pementukan and the Organization of the Ministry of State.

Every Minister responsible for a particular in the government, which consists of:

  • Nomenclature of government affairs. Ministry expressly stated in the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Year 1945, covering foreign affairs, home affairs, and defense.
  • Scope of government affairs mentioned in the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Year 1945, covering matters of religion, law, finance, security, human rights, education, culture, health, social, employment, industry, commerce, mining, energy, public works, resettlement, transportation, information, communication, agriculture, plantation, forestry, livestock, marine, and fisheries.
  • Government Affairs in order to sharpening, coordination, and synchronization of government programs, including matters of national development planning, the state apparatus, the state secretariat, state-owned enterprises, land, population, environment, science, technology, investment, cooperatives, small businesses and medium enterprises, tourism, women empowerment, youth, sports, housing, and development of regional or disadvantaged areas.


Every government affairs, except foreign affairs, home affairs and defense, not to be formed in a separate Ministry.
